Forty singers gathered for a wonderful weekend singing in the stunning Bishop Edward King Chapel, Ripon College, Cuddesdon, near Oxford, led by Jane Harris and Clara Atkins.

Jane explains the background:

The chapel is an extraordinary space, wonderfully resonant and filled with natural light filtering in from above. I first sang there about five years ago with a group of women’s voices and promised myself that one day I would lead a singing weekend there.

I loved leading the weekend with my fellow Rolling Harmony singer, Clara. Together we taught a wide range of songs from different harmony singing traditions to experience the acoustics and the space to the full. It was magical to experience the changing light in the chapel at different times of the day.

Singers came from far and wide, including Bath, Bristol, Wiltshire, London, Shrewsbury, Hereford, Lancashire, Dunkeld and Glasgow. Comments from singers:

Inspirational music in a beautiful place with excellent teachers
A wonderful weekend of song and fellowship… amazing venue
Absolutely delightful leaders – enthusiastic, fun and technically perfect!
An inspiring weekend in a glorious setting with beautiful spring sunshine
A beautiful experience all round
