It was an absolute delight for Songways choirs to sing in the beautiful setting and superb acoustics of Bath Abbey, bringing together nearly fifty singers from the Bath and Bradford on Avon choirs.
Songs to celebrate the earth, water and life, beautiful Scottish, Canadian and American songs, rich South African church choruses and original compositions by Jane Harris, Director of Songways.
Comments from the audience:
“Just fabulous”
“The most moving concert I’ve ever been to”
About Songways
Songways choirs meet on Wednesday evenings in St Swithin’s Church, Bath and Friday mornings in Holy Trinity, Bradford on Avon. All are welcome and there is no need to read music – Jane teaches all the songs and harmonies by ear.
“We’re passionate about the music we sing and we’d love to share it with you… harmonies that lift us up, powerful songs that draw us together and go straight to the heart, and songs that create a sense of stillness and peace.”Singing with Songways is also a chance to develop your voice, increasing range and resonance, and exploring new singing styles.”
