The Songways Choirs had fun in July singing out and about in some of the area’s beautiful smaller chapels and churches. Each choir sang in St Mary Tory, perched high above Bradford on Avon town, and in the Saxon Church below. The Bath choirs also sang in the tiny Norman Church in Ditteridge, near Box and in Withyditch School Room and Chapel just south of Bath, looking out over the beautiful Cam valley. We rounded off our term by gathering all three choirs together at the ancient Edington Priory, beneath the Westbury White Horse, for a Big Sing session – singing for the joy of it in the wonderful acoustics. We will be back at Edington for our Christmas gathering and concert Sat 13 Dec.
