Sing the Cambridge Colleges in April 2025 was an absolute joy, led by Jane Harris, Director of Songways and John Harrison, composer, choir director and singer from Vermont. Sixty singers came from far and wide including London, Cambridge, Oxford, Bristol, Bath, Wiltshire, Lincolnshire, North Wales, Caerphilly, Glasgow, Dunkeld, Manchester, Cheshire, Kent, Hereford, Gloucestershire, Somerset, Dorset, Devon, Cornwall, Vermont and California.

We sang in three college chapels – Corpus Christi, St Catharine’s and Clare – exploring the acoustics and enjoying the stunning settings. Jane and John both taught their own original choral compositions as part of a rich range of music, also including an exquisite Croatian song, a joyous South African church song and a soaring 16th century Sanctus. Spring flowers in the college gardens and glorious weather added to the enjoyment of the whole weekend.
