Rolling Harmony was absolutely thrilled to perform in the beautiful setting and superb acoustics of Bath Abbey for the first time, in a lunchtime recital on Friday 13 September. Their programme of songs was hugely enjoyed by a full and appreciative audience, from the bell-like opening song, Come, come whoever you are by Angela Ramsey, to beautiful settings of Wendell Berry poetry by Malcolm Dalglish, from vibrant American songs by contemporary composers Don Jamison and John Harrison, to jazz standards Moon River and Java Jive.
Audience comments:
“Such a wonderful concert”
“An incredibly full and rich sound”
The following day, Rolling Harmony performed in the tiny and exquisite church at Priston Festival, a few miles south of Bath, a wonderful and contrasting intimate venue, equally enjoyed by the festival audience.
