We were delighted to host Luke Wallace from Vancouver in Bath for a singing workshop and concert. Nearly fifty singers from near and far enjoyed a wonderful day of song, including two all the way from Germany. Luke taught a wonderful range of his own original songs, with compelling lyrics and rich choruses. Jane Harris co-taught and supported the harmony parts throughout the day, helping the songs to come together quickly and the harmonies to lock in. We also enjoyed songs by some of Luke’s favourite eco songwriters and rounded off the day by becoming the audience for a concert by Luke, with more singing of course…

Comments from singers:

“The best day… I loved every minute!”
“Fantastic day”
“Such an uplifting day”

Luke Wallace’s planet-kind songs, arranged for community choirs by Shawn Kirchner, are currently being sung by 85 choirs across the world. Luke brings a fun, uplifting style of teaching all centred on a message of collective action and people power. He uses both his original songs and a selection from his favourite eco songwriters to craft a choral experience that is uniquely moving and inspiring.

“Luke is the perfect antidote to the despair and chaos of our times. ” – Left Coast Labour Chorus
