LAST FEW PLACES AVAILABLE

Come & join our Spring Singing Day at the Great Oak Hall and fill this wonderful space with glorious harmonies – and then enjoy the arboretum in the early spring.

Singing has proven health benefits: it’s good for posture, breathing and general well-being.  Singing – like laughter, play, sunshine, countryside and exercise – makes you feel good.  And there’s nothing quite like singing in harmony with others.  It can be thrilling, heart-warming, moving, therapeutic and a lot of fun.

All welcome.  No experience necessary, just a desire to sing.  If you are an experienced singer looking for something new, or sing in a conventional choir, come and enjoy the experience of learning by ear and the strong sense of shared, collaborative music making.  If you are a complete beginner, even terrified of singing, come & discover your voice and open up a world of music making that may have been closed to you for years.

The day will be led by Jane Harris, who will teach all the songs and harmonies by ear.  Jane’s clear, inclusive and enabling teaching style uncovers the best in singers’ voices and draws people together with heartfelt, resonant singing.   This will be Jane’s third singing day at the Great Oak Hall.  Here’s what singers said about our last event in 2013:

“Well worth the journey … beautiful venue … friendly and fun.”

“Absolutely wonderful”

“My first experience of Songways and I loved it.”
