Fifty singers from the combined Bath and Bradford Avon Songways choirs performed at the delightful Holy Trinity Christmas Tree Festival in Bradford on Avon. Our programme included the classic Appalachian song, Bright morning stars, Lord of the Leopard by Sheffield composer Graham Pratt, original songs by Jane Harris including her carols, Bring in the holly (with Jane violin) and Come and follow the light of the star (with Jane octave violin), Tourdion, a 16th century French drinking song, and the rousing Harky Harky from West Cornwall.
Songways choirs meet in Bath on Wednesday evenings at the beautiful St Swithin’s Church and in Bradford on Avon on Friday mornings at Holy Trinity.
New singers are warmly welcome. Find out more and book a taster session here.
